Assistant Front Office Manager

As Assistant Front Office Manager, you will in the absence of Front Office Manager take charge of the operations of Front Office Department; acting as the bridge between the front and the back office. Customer Satisfaction, Financial Performance (Up selling, Room Revenue, Operation Auditing). Showing Initiative, Problem Solving, Staff Training, Team Leading. Manages and motivates the Front Office team to provide a high standard of service for customers. Welcomes guests and fosters customer loyalty through his/her friendly manner.

Assistant Front Office Manager key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all guest expectations are met throughout their stay including welcoming all guests to the hotel in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Proactively encourage development and motivation for self and others. Conduct regular appraisals and implement development plans.
  • Keeping the team up to date about departmental, hotel and company activities through daily communications including financial feedback, customer feedback, Trip Advisor, SALT Reports
  • Assist the Front Office Manager to evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
  • Assist the Front Office Manager with recruiting, managing, training and developing the Front Office team
  • Assist the Front Office Manager with setting departmental objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office Team Members with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
  • Awareness of the emergency procedures, full knowledge of the fire manual, ensuring that all staff and supervisors are similarly aware.
  • Conduct monthly communication meetings, in the absence of the Front Office Manager, and produce minutes
  • Duty Management and Night Shifts as required.
  • Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area, and are continuously trained to learn and understand policies and practices
